Get Reliable Remote Desktop Solution with this App
Supremo is a productivity tool that provides a gateway between two computers. It allows you to either access a remote PC to control it or provide remote access to another machine for the same mentioned purpose. If you want to remotely control your computer at home, or you want to launch a meeting, this app is a helpful tool.
Simple and safe operation
Let’s admit that when it comes to remote access apps, TeamViewer is among the frontrunners. But the app can be fairly complex as it is filled with various features, including file transfer, meetings, and presentation. Supremo is a lot simpler since it solely focusses on remote access, chatting, and file transfer. It is also constituted by a small executable file making it a portable program.
Suffice to say the app does not require installation. There are also no dependencies involved, like a .NET framework or Java. More, there is no risk of installing unwanted third-party components since you only have to run the app on both computers. Each PC will have a unique ID that transforms it into a server which will then be transmitted to the remote pc.
The app comes with an intuitive interface for easy usage, even by inexperienced users. It also works smoothly without triggering the operating system to hang or crash. Once you are connected and you’re working with the window of the remote PC, all keyboards are sent there, including minimizing all windows, copying, and pasting. What’s more, the app allows multiple clients to link to the server.
As mentioned, the app uses servers to easily connect two computers. But this doesn’t mean that the app compromises your security for simple connection. Supremo lets you connect to a remote device in total security with its AES 256-bit algorithm and to UAC compatibility. The access to clients also requires ID and a dynamic password.
In addition to password-protect, Supremo also lets you create a whitelist of PCs with allowed IDs. With this, the app can ignore computers that are not included in the list. You can also apply a proxy configuration to connect to the internet. Finally, you can make the tool run at every Windows startup until further notice.
Transfer files, chat, organize, and more
As with most remote-control clients, Supremo comes with a file transfer feature. On top of the large window of the server PC, you can access the menu with operations that you can perform, including transferring files and folders to the remote PC. But that’s not all. You can also chat to communicate with the remote desktop. Furthermore, users can also switch to full-screen mode or send key combinations. To improve remote desktop performance, you can also install a video mirror driver.
More, you can also toggle keyboard mapping, show all monitors, and enhance the color depth of your remote PC. Finally, you can keep an address book with multiple computers to connect to them without needing to look up their credentials. You can create different groups, export the address book to a file, and import them later. The tool records all sessions, so you’ll know which ID connects to the server. You can export records to CSV files.
Supremo is free for personal use. But, while it seemed that the app is perfect, some drawbacks need considering. For one, the quality of the remote PC is not that great. More, the frame rate was less impressive, even with a video mirror driver installed.
Decent remote desktop control
In a nutshell, Supremo is a recommended app if you are looking for a free alternative to your remote desktop control software. The app's straightforward interface makes it easy to use, even for novices. It comes rich with features, allowing you to do more with your connected PCs. There may be a few caveats, but, all in all, the app so worth giving a shot.
